Case Study
Outsourced team, ‘inhouse’ feel
Acuity Research and Practice is a unique organisation, providing resident and tenant satisfaction surveys, customer research, benchmarking and learning to the social housing sector.
Having partnered with Fitzgerald as a Client Member at the end of 2023, there’s been no end to the positive results being achieved through a hands-on approach by both parties.
But why us?
In the lead up to joining Fitzgerald, Acuity had seen significant growth and were keen to find an HR partner who could support them on their continued pathway to success – both operationally and strategically.
So, whilst legal compliance and best practice was the bedrock of their requirements, it was actually more important for them to find a local HR provider who could ‘look and feel’ like part of their team.
Enter Fitzgerald…
And a year down the line, Acuity has praised their Fitzgerald team as “friendly”, “down-to-earth”, “easy to talk to”, and “relatable”, but above all, they feel as though they’re in a safe pair of hands, whatever the issue is.
So much so, Acuity describe Fitzgerald as “part of the family” – and there’s no better compliment than that.
Variety is the spice of life
This incredible partnership has led to Acuity successfully achieving a number of projects over the last year, ranging from HR and wellbeing audits to recruitment support, employment contract updates, handbook reviews, absence management, and team leadership programmes.
You’d have thought with all these people matters neatly progressed, it’d be time for Acuity to put their feet up. But not so… they have big plans for the next 12 months, too; from growing their social value initiatives, investing in employee engagement, and extending their reach.
Value-adding HR
Obviously, working through a list of people priorities is hugely satisfying. But Acuity has found the real value lies within how Fitzgerald reassure them everything will be just fine.
Here are a few words from Denise Raine (Director) and Lesley Vuskans (Business Support Officer) on their experience of Fitzgerald:
““We’ve worked with Fitzgerald for just over a year and quite simply, they have been just brilliant. They’ve given us a full-service people experience – dealing with difficult situations with professionalism, support, and kindness.
We’ve been able to tap into the knowledge of the Fitzgerald team as a whole. And everyone that we have come across has been friendly, down to earth, easy to talk to, and relatable. Something that we have really valued.
We feel grateful to have achieved so much in the last 12 months. And whilst we recognise there is still work to do, we know that whatever the issue, the Fitzgerald team will be there to support us.
Working with Fitzgerald feels like we have a “comfort blanket” wrapped around us. We can’t believe we ever worked without you; it’s like you are part of our family”.
