Employee Relations Services
When a disciplinary lands or a grievance escalates, you need someone who already knows what to do.
Most ER cases that end badly do so not because the situation was unmanageable, but because it was not handled properly from the start. Our Employee Relations team are specialists. Not people partners who also handle ER, but practitioners whose entire focus is on getting these cases right, from investigation through to outcome.
Some clients want us to take complete ownership of a case. Others want us alongside them while their own team leads. We work either way, and we are used to stepping in at any stage of a process, including when things have already gone wrong.
The Employment Rights Act changes are making ER more complex, not less. Day-one rights, shorter qualifying periods for unfair dismissal claims, stronger protections for whistleblowers. Businesses that have managed ER informally for years are finding they need proper support. That is exactly what we are here for.

How we help you stay on the right side of ER
Lead or advise, whichever works for you.
Some clients want us to run the case from start to finish. Others want to stay in the chair with us alongside them. Our advice is clear and commercial, and it is shaped around how your business actually works, not a generic process.
Legally sound, commercially sensible.
We know employment law in detail. We also know that getting an ER case right means more than following the process. We protect your business and handle your employees fairly, because those two things are not in conflict.
Spotting problems before they become cases.
The best ER work happens before a formal process starts. We help you identify where relationships are under strain, where management practice needs support and where a proactive conversation could prevent a formal one.
Manager training that actually changes behaviour.
Knowing what the policy says is one thing. Knowing how to have a difficult conversation, what to say and what not to say, is another. We train your managers to handle ER situations confidently and correctly.
If something has come up and you are not sure how to handle it, the first conversation is free.
We will listen to what is going on and tell you honestly what we think the right approach is.
