Alongside my work as CEO, I’m also an EMCC accredited leadership coach and hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Psychosynthesis Leadership Coaching. Coaching became a natural extension of my work because I saw how often capable, committed leaders lacked a safe space to think. A place where they could step back, talk honestly, and explore what was really going on beneath the surface, without judgement or expectation.
Having built and scaled a business myself, I understand first-hand what leadership really involves. The responsibility that comes with making decisions that affect people’s livelihoods. The pressure to keep things moving, even when you’re unsure of the right answer. And the quiet weight of knowing that others are looking to you for clarity and reassurance. That lived experience sits at the heart of my work, both as a business leader and as a coach.
My coaching style is practical, supportive, and grounded in real-world leadership. I work with founders, business owners, and senior leaders, including HR/People leaders, who are often carrying a lot, and who want to lead well without burning themselves out in the process. I help people think clearly, make confident decisions, and reconnect with what matters most to them as leaders. That often means working at depth, exploring not just what someone does, but how and why they lead the way they do.
I bring substantial experience across all areas of HR and people leadership, including people strategy, organisational change, learning, talent management, employment law, and leadership development. That means my coaching is always rooted in reality. We can talk about values, perspective, and leadership mindset, while also keeping an eye on the practical impact on teams, culture, and performance.
Over the years, my view of leadership has evolved. I’ve learned that good leadership isn’t about having all the answers or carrying everything alone. It’s about self-awareness, honesty, and making thoughtful choices, even when things feel uncertain. I care deeply about helping leaders find a way of leading that feels sustainable, authentic, and aligned with who they are, not just what their role demands.
I divide my time between our offices in Devon and London, working with our wider team across the UK as we continue to develop and grow Fitzgerald, and coaching leaders nationwide and internationally. Clients often tell me they value my calm, down-to-earth approach, my ability to balance empathy with challenge, and the fact that I genuinely understand the realities of leadership from the inside out.
