Finance Manager

The Role:

  • Part-time (c. 20 hours a week)
  • Based in Pottington, Barnstaple, or Exeter, Devon

We’re looking for an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the smooth running of our Company’s finances and business administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for all financial activities of the business including the management of cash flow, purchase and sales ledger, ensuring we meet our regulatory requirements and producing accurate financial and business management reports in order to inform sound business decisions.

You will produce monthly invoicing spreadsheets, monitor and review outstanding invoices and proactively resolve queries and disputes. With responsibility for ensuring the Company remains tax compliant, you’ll also help us prepare for audits and liaise with our Accountants. A key part of the role involves the production of management reports from our two main systems (QuickBooks and Replicon) and working closely with the management team, providing commercial advice and guidance to support and direct our growth.

The Person:

You will have a sound understanding of producing management reports, bookkeeping, managing sales and purchase ledger, and tax return preparation. Through your excellent organisation skills, you’ll solve problems in a calm manner, approaching work with a positive and professional approach.

Experienced in using software and systems to record, manage and report on data, you’ll also have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel to include formulas and data manipulation. You’ll be adaptable to new systems, quick to learn, and willing to help out in all areas of the business as we grow.

Whilst not essential, financial experience in a client services environment, along with knowledge of QuickBooks is desirable.

HR Associate

Due to the on-going growth we’re experiencing we are now seeking freelance HR professionals with a variety of specialisms in the South West and South East of England to work in partnership with our team of in-house HR Consultants and our clients.

The Person

We’re looking for candidates with solid experience in HR, either operating as a HR generalist/business partner, or a HR specialist.

You will need to have highly developed consulting, communication and influencing skills, including confidence in managing key stakeholders.

We’re looking for candidates with experience in the following streams of the human resources service:

Resourcing, Learning and Development, Business change, People Management, Pay and Benefits, Organisation Development, Performance Management and/or Employee Relations.
